“It’s Club RAT, not CLUB Rat!” Hey vermin, This party series isn’t just a club night, it’s a chance for local legends to completely transform the QNCC warehouse and give the full fantasy for an evening. For the first installment of Club RAT, Juliana Huxtable’s whole ‘ussy will ooze into the space. Alongside DJ sets courtesy of Sausha and Juliana herself, Juliana will be serving up site-specific installations, curating performances, designing custom lighting, staging, and seating concepts, and decking out the space with multimedia artworks. This club has everything: mesozoic flora, gogo dancers, and textual psychedelia (just to give you a hint of what’s to come). Per usual, we encourage you to participate in the spectacle, dahling. If you want to dress to impress, come wearing UV reflective clothing as the install will bathe you in UV lights. Nightlife is an opportunity to temporarily inhabit something different, and we want to celebrate the artists who have dedicated themselves to dreaming and making new worlds with the people they love. Club RAT is a laboratory for those rare visionaries who can’t help but birth an alternate reality for the rest of us to live in, and we are psyched to see what kinds of worlds these artists build.
