Make a Dance are duo of musicians who have created a record label with a massive imprint. Ben and Josh have crafted a sound that blends flavors of nostalgia, psychedelia, acid, 80s and more into tough and timeless dance music. Unexpected twists and deep digs in every corner of their sets. We have a strong lineup of vinyl based locals to support, each with record collections of depth worth exploring: My Friend Jack specializing in music ranging from indie, world disco, chunky, and fun, he’s solidified himself as one of the best record spinners in DC. Alyssa brings a wealth of diverse music influences and experience from Montreal’s DIY community to bring a fresh and exciting flavor to DC’s dance floors. Nikolo is a smooth operator behind the decks and a grassroots organizer at heart. He embodies an energy to keep the music personal, fun, and classy in the music he plays and makes. Having played cello and guitar for 14 years, Renai aims to maintain the musicality in dance music through a synthy, groovy, and spacey atmosphere.
